Egypt Partnership Network at Presbyterian Church (USA) General Assembly

During the first five days of our General Assembly (June 18 - 22 in Portland, Oregon) the convention center hums with all the visitors visiting a myriad number of displays and interest centers.  It's a place to buy a book or a necklace from Guatemala or learn more from the huge display of World Mission. There are about 200 booths!

The Egypt Partnership Network will also be there.   Come, find us, at the booth we will share with the Iraq and Syria-Lebanon Networks.  Each of us will have informative brochures. Each will have people to answer your questions.

Best of all, all three of our Networks will have ways you can pray, learn more and support the work going on in this region.

For this region is where our scriptures were written, the first Christians gathered and the foundation of our faith was established.  We Presbyterians often look to our "modern" forebears in Scotland.  Look further back.  Our origin lies in the Middle East.

Sadly, it is also a region of major conflicts and the flight of too-many Christians to the safety of other nations.

Our Egypt Partnership Network will be there where you can learn of the Synod of the Nile, the Evangelical Theological Seminary of Cairo and the many efforts to "grow the church" in Egypt.  You can sign-up to receive more of our news.  You can join us on a study trip/tour in Egypt between October 20 - November 6.  Read on this page about the options of this trip.

So, come by and shake our hands.  Let us learn more about the Evangelical Church of Egypt.  Please keep the pastors and people of these 350 worshiping bodies in your prayers.

See you this summer!
